Croatia was at the top of the list of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most important foreign trade partners in the first quarter of this year, closely followed by Serbia, according to data released on Monday by the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH.
The total value of Croatian exports to BiH from the beginning of the year until the end of March was 343 million euros, while exports from BiH to Croatia reached approximately 172 million euros.
Serbian exports to BiH simultaneously reached 305 million euros, with Germany in third place at 223 million, followed by Slovenia and Italy.

Croatia primarily exported oil and petroleum products, coal, electricity, as well as beer and chocolate to BiH.
On the other hand, BiH mainly exports electricity, raw aluminum, seats, and wood to Croatia. The total foreign trade exchange of BiH in the first quarter was valued at 3.73 billion euros, with import coverage by exports at around 64 percent.
EU member states constitute the most significant group of trading partner countries for BiH, participating with about 70 percent.
This is followed by CEFTA member states, while Turkey and Russia are at the end, but the trade exchange of BiH with these countries, as well as with China, increases every year.
