Most through the Movement for Staying Proposes the Abolition of Fixed-Term Employment

The Most Independent Lists held its eighth convention “Movement for Staying” on Saturday at the City Cultural Center in Metković, where it presented seven initiatives aimed at enabling citizens, especially young people, to plan their future in their country.

In a statement from the convention, Most notes that the initiatives relate to the areas of demographics, justice, public administration, energy, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and healthcare.

The convention was led by the political secretary of Most, Nikola Grmoja, and a group of experts from the party presented initiatives and legislative proposals in areas that, as Most emphasizes, many citizens leaving Croatia cite as crucial for their decision. Some legislative proposals are already in parliamentary procedure.

The president of Most, Božo Petrov, highlighted in his opening speech how this party has changed the political scene, not only in Metković but in Croatia. “Even our biggest political opponents will say that after the emergence of Most, nothing is the same. We have set different standards. We have shown that it is possible to have integrity in politics, regardless of the cost. We remain true to ourselves and with the desire to make Croatia a country where everyone has the same rights and opportunities,” Petrov emphasized, as stated in the announcement.

He presented demographics, one of the most important topics in Croatia. Some of Most’s measures include extending maternity benefits for another 6 months for twins, the third, and every subsequent child up to 3 years of age, and part-time work until the child is 10 years old, which is an alternative to the measure of “mother caregivers” who thus disappear from the market. Additionally, Most advocates for the abolition of fixed-term employment, as noted among other things in the statement.

Members of Parliament from Most and party members presented in Metković the measures that the party proposes for activities in Croatia such as public administration, justice, entrepreneurship, energy, agriculture, and healthcare.
