During the May Day holidays on the island of Lošinj, from April 27 to May 1, there are 7,255 tourists, who have achieved 25,963 overnight stays, which are record results, representing a 16 percent increase in tourists and a 21 percent increase in overnight stays compared to the same period last year, reported the Tourist Board of the City of Mali Lošinj on Tuesday.
The majority of guests, more than three thousand, are staying in hotels, while around 2,100 tourists are in camps. The largest number of guests comes from Slovenia (61.3 percent), domestic guests (11.2 percent), guests from Italy (8.7 percent), and Austria (6.3 percent).

From January to April this year, Lošinj was visited by 24,841 tourists, which is 17 percent more, who achieved 94,994 overnight stays or 11 percent more overnight stays than in the same period last year.
The Tourist Board of the City of Mali Lošinj emphasizes that numerous events continue on the island in anticipation of summer – the 12th Feast of Lošinj Cuisine, the Nerezine ‘Muaj’, the 8th International Accordion Festival, Klape on the Pier, Emigrants’ Day, the 6th Aromatherapy Festival ‘Apsyrtides’, Jazz Festival, Lošinj Balcony Festival, and the festival ‘Lošinj Sails Around the World.’
