The indestructible Rolling Stones may soon release another studio album, announced their legendary frontman Mick Jagger, highlighting that he is currently working on new songs.
In an interview withIndependent IE, he explained that he is in a very creative phase and that new ideas come to him almost daily.
‘I have plenty of ideas and sketches, mostly intended for the Stones. When we will release them, honestly, I have no idea,’ Jagger replied when asked if any of those songs would see the light of day before the upcoming concerts in Great Britain.
The first stop of the eight-concert long tour is a stadium in London, where the rock grandfathers will perform three nights on May 22, 23, and 25, and this week they revealed the names of the artists who will perform as opening acts.
These include former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, the late The Verve leader Richard Ashcroft, and the group Florence + The Machine.
As a reminder, the last studio release by the Stones, a collection of blues classic covers titled ‘Blue & Lonesome’, was released in 2016, 19 years after the album ‘Bridges To Babylon’, which they also promoted at the Zagreb Hippodrome.
