Research on Favorite Brands: Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Preferences of Croats

Respondents from across Croatia confirmed dramatic changes in the market for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages that global research has been warning about for some time: the younger the generations, the more they drink spirits and less wine.

The research published in Lider’s special ‘Brands’, which included respondents from all over Croatia, also confirmed the greatest preference of four powerful consumer generations for beer. However, not all generations are most inclined towards one beer brand.

Among respondents from generations Z, Y, and X, as well as ‘baby boomers’, there were a total of 56.4 percent women and 43.6 percent men. From Dalmatia, a total of 18.1 percent participated in the research; from Istria, the Croatian coast, and Gorski Kotar, 11.8 percent; from Lika, Kordun, and Banija, 8.6 percent; from Northern Croatia, 15.9 percent; from Slavonia, 20.7 percent, and 24.9 percent of them were from Zagreb.

More about the ‘current’ preferences of Croats can be found in the hundred pages of the ‘Brands’ edition, which you can find along with a copy of Lider at all kiosks of Tisak and iNovine.
