DZS: The Revenue of Croatian Industry Decreases Monthly, Increases Annually

The revenue of the industry in Croatia decreased by 5.8 percent in February compared to the previous month, while it increased by 1.7 percent on an annual basis, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics published on Friday.

Total seasonally and calendar-adjusted industrial revenue in February fell by 5.8 percent compared to January, with a decrease of 5.7 percent in the domestic market and 8.8 percent in the foreign market.

In February, total calendar-adjusted industrial revenue increased by 1.7 percent compared to the same month last year, with a decline of one percent in the domestic market, while it rose by 5.2 percent in the foreign market.

Looking at sectors, in February, energy sales decreased by 27.6 percent on a monthly basis, sales of durable goods for general consumption decreased by 22 percent, intermediate goods by 6.6 percent, non-durable goods for general consumption by 3.8 percent, and capital goods by 1.1 percent.

On an annual basis, however, energy sales increased the most in February, by 19 percent. This was followed by sales of non-durable goods for general consumption with a growth of 3.9 percent, durable goods for general consumption with a growth of 3.4 percent, and intermediate goods with a growth of 3.1 percent.

In February, compared to the same month last year, a decline in sales was recorded only in the capital goods sector, by 11.2 percent.
