The Mayor of Split, Andro Krstulović Opara, on Tuesday discussed the cooperation between the City of Split and the Ministry of Defense and the Croatian Army with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Republic of Croatia, Damir Krstičević, as announced in the afternoon by the City Administration.

As stated, Minister Krstičević said that the homeland security system is of great importance, and the army is always supportive of the development of Split, both through the Croatian Navy and in emergency situations such as assistance during last year’s fires.
He added that the Ministry of Defense, with him at the helm, is intensively working on building the brand ‘Croatian Army’ and reestablishing contact between Croatian soldiers and citizens.

Mayor Krstulović Opara requested Minister Krstičević’s cooperation during the commemoration of the Day of Croatian Defenders of the City of Split on May 30, along with a ceremonial program of the Croatian Army and the Croatian Navy, and thanked him for his support in all joint projects. One of the topics of the meeting was also the commemoration of the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the 4th Guard Brigade of the Croatian Army ‘Pauci’ on Saturday, April 28, in Split.
