The fugitive Croatian tycoon Ivica Todorić stated on Monday that he will fight against extradition to Croatia, but also announced an imminent arrival in Croatia “that will surprise everyone.”
A court in London approved the extradition of the founder of the troubled company Agrokor, but he will remain at liberty under stricter precautionary measures until the decision becomes final.
“This is yet another victory for me,” Todorić told reporters after the London court’s decision.

He announced that he will use all legal options available to him in Great Britain to avoid extradition.
However, despite this, he says he will soon appear in Croatia.
“You will all be surprised when I come to Croatia,” emphasized Todorić.
He did not want to specify a date, saying only “you will see.”

Todorić was arrested last year on November 7 based on a European arrest warrant issued by Croatia.
He and 14 others are under investigation due to the debt crisis in Agrokor, a company that employs 60,000 people in Croatia and the region and over which the Croatian state has taken control.
