The Payment of Fees for the Business Entities Register is Being Abolished

The State Bureau of Statistics (DZS) announced on Friday that starting tomorrow, April 21, the obligation to pay all fees related to the DZS Business Entities Register will be abolished, resulting in annual savings of approximately 950 thousand kuna for business entities.

According to the statement, with the entry into force of the amendments to the Regulation on the Classification of Business Entities according to the National Classification of Activities 2007 – NKD 2007, as of April 21, the obligation to pay all fees related to the DZS Business Entities Register concerning the registration/change/deletion/transfer of the Notification of Classification according to NKD and the Eurocertificate (Notification of Classification in English) will be abolished.

The DZS also reminds that the Government accepted the Plan for Addressing Economic Imbalances and the Action Plan for Administrative Relief of the Economy 2018, one of the priorities of which is the abolition of parafiscal levies.

Consequently, the DZS, with the positive opinion of the Ministry of Finance, prepared amendments to the Regulation on the Classification of Business Entities according to the National Classification of Activities 2007 – NKD 2007. The Regulation is a result of the efforts of the State Bureau of Statistics to contribute to improving the business environment and facilitating business operations for business entities, the DZS emphasizes.

According to the data provided, the DZS received 953.46 thousand kuna in fees from business entities related to the Business Entities Register last year, while in 2016, the amount was 955.24 thousand kuna.

The DZS also states in the announcement that all documentation can be submitted electronically to the email address [email protected] and that further activities are underway to improve the management of the DZS Business Entities Register with the aim of acquiring data from registers and publicly available official data sources and ensuring electronic data collection and registration.

The DZS also invites business entities to verify the accuracy of their data in the Register (business entity name, address, activity code according to NKD 2007, and others) and update them free of charge. The accuracy of the data can be verified on the website www.dzs.hr, where all additional information about the classification process of business entities according to NKD can also be found, the DZS notes.
