ZSE: Crobex indices up about 0.8 percent, trading remains modest

Crobex indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange rose on Wednesday for the second consecutive day, by about 0.8 percent, while trading remains modest.

Crobex increased today by 0.83 percent, to 1,788.46 points, and Crobex10 by 0.78 percent, to 1,038.78 points.

Regular trading volume amounted to 4.2 million kuna, which is about 1.1 million kuna less than yesterday.

No stock had a million kuna in trading today, and only the HT stock had more than half a million kuna. The trading volume for this stock was 563.2 thousand kuna, and its price increased by 0.63 percent, to 161 kuna.

Following in trading volume are the shares of AD Plastika, which traded for 474.8 thousand kuna, and their price is up by 0.83 percent, to 181.50 kuna.

The price of Valamar Riviera shares increased by 0.51 percent, to 39.70 kuna, with a trading volume of 412.2 thousand kuna.

The more liquid gainers are led by the shares of Atlantska plovidba with a price increase of 7.03 percent, to 548 kuna, and the shares of Medika with a price increase of 10 percent, to 17,600 kuna. The trading volume for Atlantska plovidba was 383.9 thousand kuna, and for Medika 280.3 thousand kuna.

An even larger price increase of 12.96 percent, to 122 kuna, was recorded by the shares of Uljanik plovidba, but with a modest trading volume of about 36 thousand kuna.

In contrast, the biggest losers are the shares of Solaris, which, with a trading volume of 9.3 thousand kuna, saw their price decrease by 4.62 percent, to 620 kuna.

Among the stocks with more than one hundred thousand kuna in trading volume, the shares of Optima Telekom saw a slightly larger price drop of 1.44 percent, to 2.05 kuna, Plava laguna by 1.17 percent, to 1,690 kuna, and Auto Hrvatske by 0.71 percent, to 700 kuna.

Although they had been among the more liquid issues in recent days, today there was no trading in the shares of Čakovečki mlinovi, which announced via the stock exchange a call for a general assembly with a proposal for a dividend payment of 75 kuna per share from the undistributed net profit earned in 2009 and 2010. For the assembly convened for June 8, the Management and Supervisory Board of Čakovečki mlinovi propose that from 14.44 million kuna of net profit from last year, almost 13.2 million be distributed to retained earnings, and 1.26 million kuna to legal reserves.
