The Croatian Parliament expanded its agenda on Wednesday with the Government’s proposal to appoint Dražen Jelenić as the Chief State Attorney, and the opinion on this should be provided by the relevant Justice Committee before the parliamentary debate.
The Government proposed Jelenić at a closed session held on Tuesday. Jelenić is currently the first deputy to the Chief State Attorney Dinko Cvitan, whose term expires on April 24.

Justice Minister Dražen Bošnjaković justified the proposal to appoint Jelenić by the need for the arrival of “new energy that will contribute to even better work of the DORH.”
Before the parliamentary debate on the Government’s proposal, the opinion on Jelenić should be provided by the parliamentary Justice Committee, which is scheduled for Thursday morning.
By rearranging this week’s parliamentary agenda, it has been enabled for the still current State Attorney Dinko Cvitan to submit a report on the work of the State Attorney’s Office for 2015 and 2016 this afternoon.
