Albertazzi: Vertiv does not wait for change in the market, it introduces it

Zagreb hosted the global business elite on Monday and Tuesday at the first international Vertiv Innovation Summit, attended by around three hundred guests. Among them were senior Vertiv executives from around the world as well as representatives of their global clients and companies.

Lider was the only Croatian media invited by the company to cover the two-day summit, alongside about a dozen other media from Europe.

Vertiv, formerly Emerson Network Power, has its Croatian subsidiary Vertiv Croatia, which produces data centers for the entire world. Vertiv globally produces infrastructure for power supply, cooling, and infrastructure solutions for data centers. One of the main locations for data center production is in Mokrice, where around two hundred top engineers are employed.

The meeting was opened by Giordano Albertazzi, President of the EMEA region at Vertiv, who explained the business goals in production and sales to the gathered businessmen, reflecting on the latest technological solutions in digital technology.

– It is our duty to lead the market. Vertiv must not wait for change to happen in the market; on the contrary, it must introduce it – emphasized Albertazzi. Speaking about the upcoming 5G transformation, he stated that the industrialization of IoT (Internet of Things) and automation are the future towards which the company strives.

Vertiv’s global clients include Google, Facebook, all world-renowned telecom operators, the banking sector, light and heavy industry, and other relevant data service providers. Albertazzi also mentioned two of Vertiv’s latest global acquisitions that underscore the focus on core business. These are Energy Labs, a manufacturer of coolers specialized for data centers, and Geist, a manufacturer of power distribution units.

Vertiv’s summit in Zagreb is expected to become a traditional gathering of eminent businessmen, who exchange current knowledge about technological trends. Besides being an excellent promotion for Zagreb as a tourist destination, the Croatian metropolis rightly promotes itself as a place where top world engineers are educated and emerge from.
