PHOTO: A Fashion Story Inspired by the Style of Catherine the Great

Through a small fashion story, FREYWILLE invites you to view the most impressive exhibition in the region – ‘Catherine the Great, Empress of All Russia – From the State Hermitage Museum’, which is open at the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery.

For decades, FREYWILLE has dedicated its wonderful jewelry collections to the greats of painting, European cultural heritage, and the most beautiful emotions. In seeking inspiration for new distinctive and colorful motifs that will be hand-painted on fine enamel, the artistic FREYWILLE team conducts detailed research, which includes visits to exhibitions, studying artworks and the lives of their authors, European cultural heritage, as well as the characteristics of various cultural and historical epochs.

In collaboration with the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery, an interesting fashion story has been created inspired by European fashion from the Rococo era and Catherine the Great, one of the most powerful women in history. The elegance and refinement of the ladies at the Russian court are reflected through simple long dresses that, with a few important details, have been transformed into the most luxurious evening gowns: impressive FREYWILLE jewelry and a striking table or silk scarf.

At the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery, more than a thousand exceptionally valuable exhibits can be seen, and in addition to magnificent imperial portraits and works of painting from European schools, clothing items and treasures of Empress Catherine II are also on display. The exhibition is open until July 29, 2018.
