Bjelovar-Bilogora County has secured more than two million kuna in direct support for entrepreneurs, craftsmen, and the tourism sector, and the budget of the Department for Economy, Crafts, and Regional Development has increased by 1.5 million kuna compared to last year, reaching almost 12 million kuna.
– Almost a quarter of our original budget this year relates to the economy, and all measures have been agreed upon in collaboration with the entrepreneurs and craftsmen themselves through the Croatian Chamber of Economy and the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts, emphasized County Prefect Damir Bajs on Friday during the presentation of new development measures at the Bjelovar Chamber of the Croatian Chamber of Economy.

He cited co-financing of EU projects as the most significant new measure.
– We have noticed that entrepreneurs are increasingly less likely to apply for projects to EU funds, and the reason is that such calls are rare and take a long time, which discourages people. This measure will help them reduce the risk when applying for projects, and it will co-finance the application, preparation, and obtaining project documentation, explained Bajs, adding that 750 thousand kuna has been secured for this measure.

Tourist events of significance for Bjelovar-Bilogora County, certification and introduction of quality systems, and participation in fairs will also be co-financed.
