The government on Tuesday carried out a series of personnel decisions – it ‘proposed’ 16 members of supervisory boards, four company leaders, and three management board members. As usual, everything happens in the closed part of the session, with a dry statement as an epilogue.
A responsible and competent government would not hide behind its decisions. It would clearly explain that Vlado Bagarić has been appointed to head the Croatian Air Traffic Control and Ivica Nekić to the Alan Agency six months ago, and that their mandates are now being extended after the competitive process, and that Miro Škrgatić will lead ARZ instead of Josip Šala.

Not to mention that basic decency would dictate that the biographies of those appointed to public positions be published. Thus, everyone would know that Škrgatić is a former HDZ mayor of Karlovac and a former assistant to the Minister of Economy, his fellow citizen Branko Vukelić, and that he had previously been in ARZ, first as a member and then as the president of the Management Board.
