ZAGREB – Continuation of the session of the Croatian Parliament (9:30, St. Mark’s Square 6).

ZAGREB – Attacks on the religious feelings of believers and the Catholic Church is the topic of a press conference by HDZ parliamentary representative Steve Culej (9:15, Croatian Parliament, St. Mark’s Square 6).

ZAGREB – The company “Crodux” will hold a press conference regarding water pollution in Slavonski Brod (12:00, Savska Opatovina 36).

ZAGREB – Minister of Health Milan Kujundžić will open the 3rd regional conference on digital medicine “The Future is Now” which will feature leaders of development processes in the field of digital medicine from the region and Europe (9:30, City Plaza, Slavonska Avenue 6).

ZAGREB – “Media Literacy Days” will be held organized by the Agency for Electronic Media and UNICEF from April 19 to 21, and at the press conference, they will be presented by the Minister of Science and Education Blaženka Divjak, Minister of Culture Nina Obuljen Koržinek, Head of the UNICEF Office for Croatia Valentina Otmačić, and Deputy Chairman of the Council for Electronic Media Robert Tomljenović. At that occasion, the results of a new research on citizens’ attitudes towards media literacy of children will also be presented (10:00, library of Primary School ‘Jure Kaštelana’, Vladimir Ruždjak Street 2a).

SENJ – HNS-Liberal Democrats will hold a press conference in Senj where the party president Ivan Vrdoljak and the president of the HNS County Organization of Lika-Senj County Krunoslav Tomljanović will speak (16:30).

ZAGREB – A conference titled “European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) – Advantages and Opportunities for Entrepreneurs and Local Units” will be held organized by Jutarnji List. The organizers announce the Minister of Finance Zdravko Marić, Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Gabrijela Žalac, Head of the EIB Office in Zagreb Anton Kovačev, Chairwoman of HBOR Tamara Perko, and President of HGK Luka Burilović at the panel discussion (10:00, Small Hall KD Vatroslav Lisinski, Stjepan Radić Square 4).

ZAGREB – At the first event “Wines from Antiquity”, which will take place on April 13 and 14, more than 70 winemakers will gather with over 150 wines exclusively from indigenous Croatian varieties. The aim of this event is to highlight the potentials provided by indigenous grape varieties, gather winemakers and experts in this segment of winemaking and viticulture, and encourage the production of indigenous varieties and work on improving their quality, with the desire to create recognition for Croatia as an authentic wine country. The event will be opened, as announced, by the Minister of Agriculture Tomislav Tolušić (14:00, Art Gallery Lauba, Baron Filipović Approach 23).

ZAGREB – The total gross premium charged by 21 Croatian insurance companies at the end of March amounted to 2.8 billion kuna, representing a growth of 7.28 percent compared to the same month last year, according to data from the Croatian Insurance Bureau. In the non-life insurance group, which accounts for 68.5 percent of the total premium, the gross premium charged in March compared to the same month last year increased by 7.5 percent, to 1.9 billion kuna. In the life insurance segment, the gross premium charged recorded a growth of 6.8 percent, to 874.4 million kuna, according to HUO data.
