At the Current Issues session in the Croatian Parliament, Krešo Beljak, president of the HSS, reminded that the lex Agrokor was adopted a year ago and that a draft settlement was presented yesterday according to which Agrokor, as he said, will become Russian, and the company’s headquarters will be in the Netherlands, and he asked Plenković whether this means that Agrokor is being removed from the list of systemic companies considering that it will have less and less connection with Croatia, N1 reports.
– We have achieved three fundamental goals and I see that nothing bad happened last year, how we prevented a collapse, everything seems normal, as if it happened by itself and that no one thought about how to react to an extraordinary situation. We took a big risk. Now that we have reached a stage where everyone is satisfied, you are asking what the ownership structure is. The fact that part of the structure is related to Dutch legislation is only a plus, not a minus, Mr. Beljak, replied Prime Minister Plenković.

– I asked you something else – will the lex Agrokor continue to apply to companies that will have less and less to do with Croatia, Beljak stated and added that no one disputes that there are some results, but he only asks whether the lex Agrokor will continue to apply to a company that will have nothing to do with Croatia anymore. Have you informed the Dutch king or Putin about the situation? I fear that if something goes wrong, you won’t expel the Dutch diplomats, Beljak said.
