Fifth Moj Zaba Start Supports Innovative Projects with Nearly One Million Kuna

Zagreb Bank has launched the fifth edition of the Moj Zaba Start project, through which the bank will again this year award grants totaling nearly one million kuna to innovative ideas and projects in three areas – entrepreneurship, culture and science, and society, it was announced on Tuesday from the bank.

The President of the Management Board of Zagreb Bank, Miljenko Živaljić, emphasizes that the bank, in addition to its fundamental role as a financial institution, is constantly focused on creating new ideas that support excellence, prosperity, and the transformation of the society in which it operates.

– Within the Moj Zaba Start program, we encourage the realization of innovative entrepreneurial ideas and the achievement of further accomplishments in the fields of science, culture, and social responsibility, said Živaljić.

He highlighted that previous cycles of the program have achieved exceptional results and invited interested parties to participate in the latest edition of the Moj Zaba Start program.

Interested parties can apply for the competition until June 12, 2018, at noon, and can find the competition conditions and application on the Moj Zaba Start website.

After the application deadline, a professional committee will evaluate the submitted works, and the finalists of the competition will be announced on September 20.

Nearly one million kuna for grants for innovative projects

In each category, the committee will select three best works that will receive awards of 120,000, 100,000, and 80,000 kuna, and in addition, a special audience award of 30,000 kuna will be awarded in each category.

Zagreb Bank reminds that the ‘Entrepreneurship’ competition is intended for projects that involve the application of new technologies, the development of new products and services, and innovations.

The ‘Culture and Science’ competition is intended for projects that involve the independent cultural scene, scientific and research projects, or the application of new media and technologies in science, culture, and art.

The ‘Society’ competition is intended for projects that involve improving everyday life in the community, supporting people with disabilities and special needs, supporting youth development, and enhancing the quality of life for older persons.
