HPB Organizes Conference on Women in Entrepreneurship

Croatian Postal Bank will gather entrepreneurs and representatives of financial institutions on Thursday, April 12, at a business meeting “Women in Entrepreneurship.” The idea of the conference is to encourage better connectivity among female entrepreneurs and open new opportunities for their collaboration with institutions that can finance, educate, or advise them on their entrepreneurial journey.

– We have tailored the content of the conference we are organizing with the EBRD to the needs of our clients, taking into account all known obstacles to the faster development of female entrepreneurship, says the initiator and organizer Antonija Zorić, Executive Director of the Small and Medium Enterprises Business Sector at HPB.

The financial package contracted last year with the EBRD was an introduction to HPB’s more intensive cooperation with female entrepreneurs. HPB’s plan is, along with better financing, to offer broader support to entrepreneurs together with partner institutions, enabling them easier entry into business, exchange of experiences, and business networking.

– We plan to offer female entrepreneurs the best on the market for project realization and business development. To succeed in this, we will expand the circle of partner institutions, associations, and entrepreneurs, notes Zorić.

We have the support of the EBRD and Regional Director Vedrana Kašić Jelušić and the CEO of HPB Tomislav Vuić, and at our conference, alongside entrepreneurs, representatives of the Zagreb Stock Exchange and HAMAG-BICRO will also be guests.

– Our goal is not to hold a conference after which the issues of female entrepreneurship will quickly be forgotten. We will see what questions will arise and what we will define as common goals and then work on that, concludes Zorić.
