For sponsorships and events, PGŽ allocates 916 thousand kuna

Deputy of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Marina Medarić, reported on Monday at a press conference that in the first distribution of funds this year for sponsorships, co-financing of events, and other activities of general significance for the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, a total of 916,000 kuna will be allocated, with a total of 2.5 million kuna budgeted for this purpose.

As she stated, the funds have been approved for 104 applicants and for co-financing 128 programs that were submitted to the public call by the end of January.

For events, 520,000 kuna will be disbursed, for non-profit organization events 360,000 kuna, and for events or activities as capital donations to non-profit organizations 36,000 kuna. The competition is open until September, and a total of 2.5 million kuna is budgeted for distribution.

Deputy County Prefect Marina Medarić reported that all 22.1 million kuna has also been allocated for decentralized functions of health institutions in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in 2017, and that the funds have been distributed to seven health institutions founded by the county.

The Health Center received 7.7 million kuna, Thalassotherapy Crikvenica 1.9 million kuna, Opatija Thalassotherapy 3.35 million, the Public Health Institute 4.3 million, the Emergency Medical Institute 2.6 million, and 1 million kuna each for the Psychiatric Hospital Rab and the Veli Lošinj Health Resort.

The Head of Social Policy and Youth, Dragica Marač, announced the continuation of investments in homes for children and youth and the arrangement of speech therapy offices in the municipalities of Čavle, Jelenje, and Klana. In addition to the arrangement of spaces in the facilities proposed by the municipalities, the county has secured funds for half of the speech therapist’s salary, while the remainder will be co-financed by the municipalities, depending on the number of children.

The Head of Tourism, Entrepreneurship, and Rural Development, Melita Raukar, announced that the county will co-finance 12 projects for the development of tourist infrastructure with 845,000 kuna, which are submitted by local government units.

She stated that half a million kuna will be allocated to associations for co-financing programs and projects in the field of agriculture and rural development, primarily to local action groups (LAG). She also announced the announcement of a public call for co-financing agricultural farm projects, for which 480,000 kuna has been secured in the budget.
