From time to time, the police inform the public about traffic controls. They announce how many promiles the record holder blew or what the highest speed recorded on the road was. Behind this lies a desire for prevention, and most people are appalled by the deadly promiles and speeds.

However, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and it seems to me that in part of the public, crazy numbers encourage – record-breaking. Especially when the report is titled ‘We Got an Alcohol Champion: The Police Stopped a Rijeka Resident. They Couldn’t Believe When They Saw the Breathalyzer Result.’
Out of consideration for potential record hunters, I will not disclose the result, and the police should not boast about such antiheroes.
