Today in Croatia – Opening of the Bjelovar Fair

We announce the most important events in Croatia for Friday, April 6, 2018.:

ZAGREB – Meeting of the HDZ Presidency (3 PM, HDZ Headquarters, Trg žrtava fašizma 4).

ZAGREB – Public health forum “Health for All” and presentation of the “Health Statistical Yearbook of the City of Zagreb” for 2017. The forum will feature speeches by the director of the Public Health Institute “Dr. Andrija Štampar” Zvonimir Šostar, the head of the Health Office of the City of Zagreb Vjekoslav Jeleč, and the assistant minister of health Dr. Vili Beroš (10 AM, large hall of NZZJZ “Dr. Andrija Štampar”, Mirogojska cesta 16).

ZAGREB – Press conference on the announcement of a public call, according to which local government units will be co-financed from EU funds for the procurement of containers for separate waste collection. The conference will feature speeches by the Minister of Environment and Energy Tomislav Ćorić, and the director of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund Dubravko Ponoš (10 AM, Conference Room of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, 20th floor, Radnička cesta 80).

KRIŽEVCI – Two-day National Meeting of Independents organized by the Independent Association, expecting around 40 independent mayors and heads from across Croatia, about 20 councilors – representatives of independent lists, and around 20 local and other entrepreneurs (11 AM, Development Center and Technology Park, Franje Tuđmana 20). Cooperation with local government units will also be presented by two ministries, led by the Minister of the Interior Davor Božinović and the Minister of State Property Goran Marić. Statements from participants are expected during breaks in the meeting, and at 5 PM when Minister Božinović, County Prefect Darko Koren, Chairman of the Independent Association Ante Dabo, Mayor of Novalja and Executive Coordinator of the association Branimir Karačić, and Križevci Mayor Mario Rajn will be present.

KRIŽEVCI – Formal signing of the contract for the donation of the former barracks space to the city of Križevci, to be signed by the Minister of State Property Goran Marić and Križevci Mayor Mario Rajn (12 PM, Small City Hall, Ulica I.Z. Dijankovečkoga 12/I).

KOPRIVNICA – Commemoration of County Day and the 25th anniversary of Koprivnica-Križevci County, attended by the envoy of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Gabrijela Žalac. Public recognitions will be awarded at the ceremonial session of the County Assembly (11 AM, Domoljub Hall, Starogradska ulica 1).

ZAGREB – The Roma Alliance in the Republic of Croatia “Kali Sara”, MP Veljko Kajtazi in cooperation with the presidents and representatives of the Council of the Roma National Minority of counties, municipalities, cities, and Roma associations organize the central ceremony marking World Roma Day (10 AM, Croatian State Archives, Trg Marka Marulića 21)

ZAGREB – Solidarity gathering for Syrians ‘Civic Initiatives for Peace’ (6 PM, at the Art Pavilion, Zrinjevac Park).

BJELOVAR – At the 21st Spring International Bjelovar Fair in Gudovac from April 6 to 8, 500 exhibitors from 10 countries will present. The Fair of Agricultural Machinery and Wood World will be held, showcasing equipment for forestry and wood technologies, accompanied by numerous side events and a series of current and professional lectures. According to announcements, the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Minister of Agriculture Tomislav Tolušić will also be present at the opening of the fair (10 AM, Gudovac fairgrounds).
