OFEL 2018 Brings Together the Scientific Elite Again

OFEL 2018, the International Scientific Conference on Corporate Governance, Management, and Entrepreneurship, will be held for the sixth time in Dubrovnik on April 13 and 14. This year’s conference is expected to host over 200 participants from as many as 26 countries around the world who will engage in presentations and discussions on the latest insights and findings from the aforementioned disciplines.

The conference will be held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. The organizers of the conference are the Center for Research and Development of Management – CIRU and the University of Dubrovnik, in partnership with the Academic Network for Corporate Governance in Southeast Europe SEE CGAN (South East Europe Corporate Governance Academic Network).

Speakers

This year’s OFEL conference, with the slogan ‘New Business Models and Institutional Entrepreneurs: Leading Disruptive Change’, will host eminent speakers: Professor Kamal Munir (Cambridge University), whose research interests focus on studying social change, technological innovation, and the competitiveness of countries; Professor Darko Tipurić (University of Zagreb), a leading expert in strategy and corporate governance in Southeast Europe; Professor Martin Kenney (University of California), who studies the interactions between academic institutions, technology, finance, and competition in capitalist economies and the impact of such interactions on individuals; and Professor Mehmet Huseyin Bilgin (Istanbul Medeniyet University), known in the international scientific community for numerous works in the fields of labor economics and international finance.

The two-day conference program consists of a series of parallel sessions where carefully selected papers that meet international publishing standards will be presented. Notably, professors Bob Barrett, Dejan Kružić, Frank Bezzina, Lilian Wanderley, Nebojša Stojčić, Barbara Josef, Marina Dabić, Merzenna Anna Weresa, Aziz Šunje, Franceska Baco, Patrick Gregory, Želimir Dulčić, and Sergey Smirnov will also participate, along with many other distinguished scientists, confirming the international scientific excellence of the OFEL conference.

Academic Workshop

As part of the conference, an academic workshop of the prestigious Academy of Management – AOM will also be held, aimed at enabling participants to acquire and enhance the knowledge necessary for publishing papers in world-renowned scientific journals, led by highly esteemed professors from Cass Business School in London, Davide Ravasi and Ileana Stigliani.
