Zagreb Auto Show with more than 460 exhibitors from 34 countries

Zagreb Auto Show, the 15th car and accompanying industry fair, will be held from April 10 to 15 at the entire Zagreb Fair venue and will gather more than 460 exhibitors from 34 countries and 85 vehicle brands, but Rimac Automobili will not be among them, it was announced on Thursday at a press conference at ZV.

According to the director of ZV, Dina Tomšić, this year, around 150,000 visitors are expected at this most attractive and most visited fair of ZV, the same number as at the last Zagreb Auto Show in 2016.

In addition to 133 car premieres, including one world vice-premiere, three European vice-premieres, and 36 Croatian premieres, the organizers also announce numerous premieres of commercial vehicles, motorcycles, and for the first time, campers.

– The Zagreb Auto Show is full of innovations and novelties this year, and it is a good market moment as the new regulations have dynamized the car market in Croatia, with a 30 percent increase in car sales recorded from the beginning of this year until the end of March, emphasized Tomšić.

She announced that a rich accompanying professional program would also be held as part of the fair, numerous presentations in the central Zagreb Ban Jelačić Square, and attractive entertainment events for the audience.

Bandić: The car show is invaluable for the economy, tourism, and hospitality

Thanking the organizers for such an important event for the city of Zagreb and Croatia, Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić reminded that after a long break from 2008 to 2016, the Zagreb Auto Show has restarted and assessed that it is now a “child that walks well.”

– The car show at the Zagreb Fair is invaluable for the economy, tourism, and hospitality of Zagreb and all of Croatia, and if everything goes according to plan, Croatia could receive the World Cup in auto rally in about two years, which we are now working intensively on, emphasized Bandić, adding that support from the Croatian government would also be needed for that.

In response to a journalist’s question about whether Rimac Automobili would participate in this Zagreb auto show, Bandić replied that Rimac is very important, but will not be present. Noting that he personally knows that family, the Zagreb mayor emphasized that Rimac has its own global path and that the Zagreb Auto Show can survive without it.

He also responded to a question about the alleged increase in parking prices in Zagreb, stating that he does not plan that and has not received any proposal or document regarding it to comment on.

Ina – General Sponsor

The general partner of this year’s Zagreb Auto Show is the oil company Ina, whose director of corporate communications, Marina Burazer, stated that oil and the automotive industry are always in symbiosis and share the transition process in which both are currently involved.

Ivo Ivančević from the Croatian Chamber of Commerce’s motor vehicle trade association emphasized that in the first months of this year, Croatia is among the leaders in the region in new car sales and has much to showcase at the announced fair.
