The international info-logistics company cargo-partner has won this year’s sustainability award presented by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKO) and the Austrian Ministry of Transport and Innovation.
The prestigious awards are presented annually at the HERMES Verkehrs.Logistik.Gala in Vienna. Cargo-partner was nominated and selected as the winner in the “Sustainability” category for the newly built iLogistics center in Fischamend, located near Vienna International Airport.

“HERMES” was presented by Alexander Klacska, President of WKO for Transport and Communication, and Norbert Hofer, Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology. The decision of the expert jury was based on the innovative natural and ecological advantages of the modern construction project. Jury members were equally impressed by the technical aspects and challenges.
The new iLogistics center features 24,500 pallet spaces in a 7,800 m2 high-bay warehouse, 2,000 m2 of goods entry and exit space, and a 1,800 m2 small parts warehouse. The construction allows for a cost-effective temperature range between 15 °C and 26 °C (+/- 2 °C), constant humidity up to 70%, low operational costs, and significant CO2 emission reductions, as targeted low-carbon materials were selected for construction. In total, the building consists of 4,200 m3 of wood, which means an absorption of 4,200 t of CO2 from the atmosphere.
