Poreč is the Istrian tourist record holder and one of Croatia’s record holders for the Easter extended weekend, according to data from the e-visitor system.
From Friday, March 30 to Monday, April 2, Poreč was visited by nearly nine thousand domestic and foreign tourists, with a total of 5,484 arrivals and 20,560 overnight stays, according to e-visitor data released by the City of Poreč on Tuesday.
>>> More than 120 thousand tourists are expected for the Easter extended weekend
Alongside Poreč, the most visited Croatian destinations are Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Rovinj, and Opatija.
During Easter, the majority of visitors in Poreč were Italians, Germans, Belgians, Austrians, Slovenians, Israelis, and domestic guests, and a rich holiday program was organized for all.
>>> Makarani hosted 1800 tourists in the holiday pre-season
– It is evident that the changeable weather and the early date of Easter did not significantly affect the excellent numbers at the very beginning of the season, which is expected to be record-breaking again this year, stated the City of Poreč.
