The announced cooling brought snow to Biokovo last night, where about five to six centimeters of snow fell, covering several Biokovo peaks as well as part of the coastal area of the mountain.
Winter has returned to Biokovo, said the duty technician at the HRT transmitter on the highest Biokovo peak, Sveti Jure, where the measured temperature at noon today was minus two degrees Celsius.
Cold weather at the beginning of April for the Easter holidays is not very common, the duty technician added, although it should not be surprising given this year’s climate conditions filled with rainy precipitation.
