Tesla is recalling 123,000 vehicles of its best-selling Model S due to issues with the steering mechanism, the manufacturer of these electric vehicles informed customers via email on Friday.
The recall, the largest ever conducted by billionaire Elon Musk’s company, pertains to luxury sedan models produced before April 2016.

Tesla has determined that in colder climates, the bolts on the steering mechanism corrode very quickly, making vehicle handling more difficult. The company also stated that there is no danger to drivers and that they can continue to drive their cars. So far, there have been no reports of accidents or injuries that could be linked to the mentioned defect.
