ZAGREB – The Parliamentary Committee for Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure will hold a thematic session on the concession of the passenger port Galženica in Zadar (12 PM, Croatian Parliament, Trg svetog Marka 6)

ZAGREB – Minister of Labor and Pension System Marko Pavić will award contracts for the allocation of non-repayable funds for the open call “Strengthening Dialogue – Phase III” within the framework of the Efficient Human Resources 2014-2020 program from the European Social Fund. These contracts finance activities aimed at increasing efficiency, sustainability of results, and continuity of social dialogue in the Republic of Croatia, as well as improving the quality of social dialogue through the development and strengthening of administrative and professional capacities of social partners at the international, national, regional, local, and sectoral levels (12 PM, Ministry of Labor and Pension System, Ulica grada Vukovara 78, 6th floor)

ZAGREB– The Ministry of Science and Education is organizing, following the recognized British concept, a round table titled “Dialogues on Education” in collaboration with the British Council and the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. An introductory address by the Minister of Science and Education Blaženka Divjak is also planned (9 AM, Preporodna Hall HAZU, Opatička 18).

Economy:

ZAGREB – Maritime ports for nautical tourism in Croatia generated a total of 855 million kuna in revenue last year, an increase of 11.2 percent compared to 2016, of which the largest portion, 598 million kuna, relates to income from berth rentals, which increased by 10.9 percent, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics. Of the total of 140 nautical tourism ports covered by the CBS survey, there are 70 marinas, of which 13 are dry. The total area of the water surface of all these ports is slightly over 3.7 million square meters, and they have just over 17 thousand berths. In addition to the growth in total revenue and that from berth rentals, nautical tourism ports also increased their income from service activities by 9.4 percent last year, reaching 65.9 million kuna, while their other income of 191.1 million kuna was up by 12.7 percent compared to 2016.
