Tele2 Withdraws Claim Against Tisak Worth 4.75 Million Kuna

The Commercial Court in Zagreb ruled on Thursday that Tele2 d.o.o. has withdrawn its claim against Tisak d.d., a company within Agrokor, amounting to 4.75 million kuna from a total recognized claim of this telecom operator of as much as 37.4 million kuna.

The court ruling does not specify the reasons for the withdrawal of part of the established claim, but it should be noted that according to Tisak, in addition to Tele2, other leading telecommunications operators also have claims – Hrvatski Telekom (HT) in the established amount of 50.8 million kuna and VIPnet of just over 106 million kuna.

The total claims of these companies against Tisak within Agrokor, prior to the withdrawal of part of the claims, were established at nearly 195 million kuna.

At the same time, newspaper publishers are claiming more than 32.6 million kuna from Tisak as the largest Croatian company for the distribution and sale of printed materials.

The Largest Debt to Hanza Media

According to the table of established claims, Tisak d.d. owes the most to Hanza Media, the publisher of Jutarnji List, Globus, and other printed materials – 11.6 million kuna, followed by the claim of 24 sata d.o.o. in the amount of 9.5 million kuna, for which Agrokor d.d. guarantees as a co-debtor or regressive debtor.

Slobodna Dalmacija is claiming 4.18 million kuna, while Glas Istre in bankruptcy is claiming more than two million kuna. The claim of Rijeka’s Novi List is established at 1.82 million kuna, Sportske Novosti is claiming 1.77 million, and Glas Slavonije just over 230,000 kuna.

Smaller newspaper publishers also have claims against Tisak d.d. – among them are Dubrovački Vjesnik, Dubrovački List, Podravski List, Oglasnik, and the recently closed Zagrebački List, with a total amount of less than two million kuna, and interestingly, according to the published list of claims, Večernji List d.o.o. is claiming only 187,292 kuna from Tisak.

The published data also includes claims from publishers of closed editions, among which is the claim of Arena d.d. of around 230,000 kuna, as well as the printing house Vjesnik d.d. of just over 100,000 kuna.

The claims of newspaper publishers against Tisak, according to the published data, amount to three times more than the reported profit of leading newspaper publishers in Croatia, Styria and Hanza Media, in 2016.
