The #DeleteFacebook campaign, launched after the outbreak of the scandal regarding the misuse of user data involving Cambridge Analytica, has this week been joined by Playboy, reports Verge.
The editorial team of the iconic magazine has deactivated the user accounts managed by Playboy Enterprises, which will directly affect as many as 25 million “followers”.

Before them, Tesla and SpaceX did the same, although all of them remain active on Instagram, the social network owned by Zuckerberg’s company.
“We do not want to expose our followers to the dangers that have been reported in recent weeks,” they explained in a statement.

Verge notes that older users now dominate Facebook, which is why this decision by Playboy will carry considerable weight.
It is worth noting that Facebook has admitted that Cambridge Analytica, which is connected to the team that worked on Donald Trump’s election campaign, had access to and used the private data of 50 million users of that social network.
