Đuro Đaković Special Vehicles, a company within the Đuro Đaković group, has signed a contract with Atir Rail LX for the delivery of “Shimmns ttu” type freight wagons worth 38.5 million kuna, the company announced on Tuesday.

The wagons will, as stated, be produced and delivered during the third and fourth quarters of this year. The Shimmns TTU wagons are 4-axle closed wagons intended for the transport of steel coils, primarily used in the automotive industry.

Steel coils are placed in cradles equipped with specially designed securing mechanisms, and they are protected from weather influences and environmental impacts by a movable tarpaulin system.
This system, as they explain, allows for the loading and unloading of steel coils using cranes with grabs, magnets, or C-hooks, as well as side access for loading using forklifts.

The company Đuro Đaković Special Vehicles has developed, produced, and delivered a larger quantity of various types of freight wagons for the Western European market, and this contract is a continuation and result of years of activities in the development of new products, as well as the development of customer relationships, the company emphasizes.
