Prime Minister Andrej Plenković announced on Monday that Croatia will expel one Russian diplomat from Croatia due to the poisoning of double Russian agent Sergei Skripal.
“Today we will make a decision to declare one accredited Russian diplomatic representative in the Republic of Croatia undesirable,” the Prime Minister announced at a press conference in Banski Dvori.

Plenković stated that Croatia is expressing solidarity with Great Britain in accordance with the conclusions of the recent European Council summit.
In doing so, Croatia has aligned itself with the USA and 14 other European Union countries in a coordinated response to the poisoning of former double agent Sergei Skripal in Great Britain. These countries expelled dozens of Russian diplomats in a coordinated action on Monday, agencies report.
