One garage and the access road to it in Novi Vinodolski are causing a new rift in the HDZ. Novi list reports that the then mayor Oleg Butković sold municipal land in 2009 to Austrian citizen Lovorko Rosandić. He sold – whether by accident or not – the only access road to the legally built garage of another HDZ member, former head of the Zagreb branch of the party Davorin Tepeš.
In the meantime, Rosandić is offering Tepeš to buy the road for 100,000 euros, Tepeš is not interested, Butković is sitting in the Ministry of Transport and is not commenting, while his successor in Novi, Velimir Piškulić, is unsuccessfully trying to mediate in the dispute. Tepeš does not give up, writing letters to the head of the Government and the party, as well as to the head of state, announcing that he will go, if necessary, to the European Court. The court saga is only in its initial phase. And as usual, the lawyers will benefit the most from it. They will earn well again.
