The Interspar hypermarket in the Rijeka neighborhood of Rujevica, with 4,000 square meters of sales space and an investment of €23 million, will open its doors to customers on Thursday, announced Interspar. Interspar emphasizes that this is the largest Spar investment in Croatia, on a plot with a total area of 16,066 square meters.
The architectural solution was designed by Rijeka architect Idis Turato, and the project was realized in eight months by SPAR’s construction team in collaboration with local contractors, led by the company GP Krk.
Interspar Rujevica will employ 120 staff and offer customers more than 30,000 products, of which over 70 percent are domestic, including products from local producers.
Below the hypermarket, an underground garage with 222 parking spaces and 5 charging stations for electric cars has been built, while there are an additional 40 parking spaces in the outdoor parking lot. The building also includes a restaurant with a terrace and a sea view.
Interspar highlights that the investment in Rujevica, in addition to the construction of the sales facility, included the construction of access roads and a roundabout, the fifth largest in Croatia. This ensures easy and safe access to Rujevica and improves the infrastructure of this growing neighborhood, they emphasize.
