The City Administration of Bjelovar is introducing a new collection model under which debtors, regardless of whether they are blocked or under enforcement by the City of Bjelovar, will be allowed to repay in installments, depending on their financial capabilities, in a maximum of 24 monthly installments, emphasized Bjelovar Mayor Dario Hrebak (HSLS) on Tuesday at a press conference.
He expects that the new measures will enable more effective collection of utility contributions and utility fees, municipal levies on which there are the most debts.

– We want to start from scratch and be equal to all entrepreneurs who have fallen into certain financial difficulties during this crisis, but also to introduce order and the rule of equality, emphasized Mayor Hrebak, adding that installment repayment does not mean that some citizens will be privileged over others.
It was mentioned that the citizens of Bjelovar owe the city treasury 15.9 million kuna, of which 2.2 million can be written off due to uncollectibility.
