On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Down Syndrome, the Down Syndrome Association Zagreb is organizing the exhibition ‘Heart of the Sunflower’ featuring works by children with Down syndrome, affectionately referred to as sunflower children because they radiate love and joy.
All art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to become proud owners of these works
The works of the beneficiaries of the Down Syndrome Association Zagreb can be viewed in the Association’s space throughout the week from March 19 to 23, every day from 12 PM to 7 PM. All art lovers will have the chance to become proud owners of these works with a minimum donation of 350 kuna. The Association will use the collected funds for various activities, such as workshops, rehabilitation, and therapy for individuals with Down syndrome, as well as education and lectures for parents and professionals to empower and educate them.
The creative works of the sunflower children were created during collaboration with Zvijezda, the first Croatian oil factory, as sunflower is the plant from which Zvijezda’s products are derived. For the third consecutive year, Zvijezda is providing children with Down syndrome the opportunity to actively participate in creating a limited edition label for Zvijezda’s sunflower oil with their artistic skills. The creative work that will shine on the new label of Zvijezda’s sunflower oil will be presented on the International Day of Persons with Down Syndrome, March 21.
