The State Attorney’s Council (DOV) has decided that Biserka Šmer-Bajt is the best candidate for the county state attorney in Varaždin, while for the deputies of the Chief State Attorney Dinko Cvitan, it has appointed the county state attorney in Zagreb, Sani Ljubičić, and the county state attorney in Bjelovar, Ksenija Pavić, for the needs of the Criminal Department.

Prosecutors Ljubičić and Pavić were selected as they scored the highest points in the assessment of their duties, interviews, and knowledge checks on the priority list among eight candidates.
The Council did not make a decision on the appointment of one deputy chief state attorney for the needs of the Civil-Administrative Department. DOV announced that at the same session held on Monday and Tuesday, it accepted the Report on its work in 2017.
