Calm trading is expected on the Zagreb Stock Exchange on Monday, which is typical for the beginning of the week, as there are no news that could significantly stimulate the market, with Crobex indices potentially stagnating after two weeks of growth.

Global Stock Exchanges

On global stock exchanges, stock prices rose sharply last week, primarily due to easing fears of trade wars.

Indeed, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a decision to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum, but also announced possible exemptions, which is interpreted as a softening of his initially firm announcements.

Thanks to this, the Dow Jones on Wall Street rose by 3.25 percent last week, while the S&P 500 jumped by 3.5, and the Nasdaq index by 4.2 percent. The rise in indices was also supported by a report from the U.S. labor market showing that the economy continues to grow steadily, but without wage growth and inflation.

European stock prices also rose sharply last week. The London FTSE index strengthened by 2.2 percent, while the Frankfurt DAX jumped by 3.6, and the Paris CAC by 2.7 percent.
