The Chinese company Vivo has increased its stakes in smartphone manufacturing and publicly presented a draft of a new model, named Apex.
The front of the device is almost entirely covered by an OLED display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The large six-inch diagonal screen is surrounded by such a thin bezel that there is no room for a front camera. As a result, the eight-megapixel selfie camera is hidden at the top of the casing. It takes only 0.8 seconds to ‘appear’ and be ready for photography.

Vivo has expanded the area covered by the fingerprint scanner on the future model, so it now extends across almost the entire lower half of the screen. Thanks to this, there is no need to search for where the scanner is; it is enough to place a finger anywhere on the lower half of the screen; the ‘in-display’ scanner also supports scanning with two fingers simultaneously.
Vivo has also added Screen SoundCasting technology, which emits sound through the vibrations of the screen like a real speaker.
