Office for Croats Outside Croatia Calls for Project Applications

The Central State Office for Croats Outside Croatia has invited non-profit organizations and individuals both outside and within Croatia, as well as individuals of Croatian descent living in difficult life conditions, to submit projects of interest for Croats worldwide by March 26, which will receive financial support.

The Office issued a similar call last year and based on it allocated around two million kuna for 93 projects in education, culture, sports, and 16 one-time grants for socially and materially disadvantaged individuals in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Grants were awarded to associations, foundations, and institutions in 15 countries, ranging from 6,000 to 75,000 kuna, while support for impoverished Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to up to 8,000 kuna.

The Central Office supports projects that strengthen cooperation between Croatia and Croats around the world, preserve Croatian identity, and promote the Croatian language, culture, and tradition.

The call is open for three categories: non-profit organizations operating abroad and in Croatia that care for the protection of the rights and interests of Croats outside Croatia, individuals whose projects preserve and strengthen Croatian identity, and socially and materially disadvantaged Croats outside Croatia.

Projects, or requests for assistance, can be submitted electronically and on paper; if disadvantaged individuals cannot submit their application electronically, they can do so only on paper.
