Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky announced on his blog that current Amazon Vice President Greg Greeley will join the Airbnb family starting March 18, as reported by Techcrunch.

In his new role, Greeley will lead one of four business units and will report directly to Chesky. Additionally, he will oversee collections, the Superhost program, and potentially the Superguest program.
Greeley will leave Amazon after 18 years, where he held a number of senior leadership positions. He is credited with creating Amazon Prime and building Amazon’s European operations. On his LinkedIn profile, he announced his departure from Amazon, stating that it is time for new challenges.

Although Chesky emphasized that Airbnb does not plan to initiate an initial public offering this year, this startup has become a dominant player in the tourism and hospitality industry with several billion dollars in annual revenue.
