Tonight in Zadar, negotiations begin regarding the settlement in the Agrokor case

For the first time since they were appointed to the extraordinary administration of Agrokor a week ago, extraordinary commissioner Fabris Peruško and his deputy Irena Weber held a press briefing, during which they presented the goals of their work. Both made an effort to leave a good first impression on the already established team of journalists following the events surrounding Agrokor, in which they were quite successful. They answered all the questions posed, provided several new pieces of information, and explained the current and future course of the process.

Tonight in Zadar, at the Falkensteiner Hotel Iadera, two days of closed negotiations begin with representatives of the Temporary Creditor’s Council and advisors who worked on the draft settlement proposal. As for the advisors, all of them, including Texo Management, remain unchanged, and new advisors will soon be involved, whose job will be to evaluate the draft settlement. These new advisors will be selected only with the consensus of the Temporary Creditor’s Council and will represent the interests of all creditors.

This will be the first of several closed meetings of the extraordinary administration, creditors, and advisors that will be held until a two-thirds agreement of creditors is reached for the voting on the settlement. There is a high probability that Sberbank will also be involved in this.

The goals of the meeting in Zadar are to fully understand the draft settlement proposal, understand the needs of each group of creditors and negotiating positions, so that afterwards the differences can be reduced and a settlement plan can be developed that will have broad support. The extraordinary administration believes that the provisions and conditions of the settlement plan with the creditors will be agreed upon by April 10, after which the settlement plan will be detailed to the level necessary for submission to the Commercial Court.
