Fiorentina’s captain, 31-year-old defender Davide Astori, was found dead on Sunday in a room at the La di Moret hotel in Udine, with initial reports indicating he died in his sleep.
Fiorentina stated that they are deeply shaken by the death of their captain Davide Astori and have called on the public to show respect for his family.
Due to this tragedy, the Serie A match between Udinese and Fiorentina, which was scheduled to be played on Sunday, has been postponed.

Davide Astori, who was a teammate of Croatian national team player Milan Badelj, had been playing for Fiorentina since 2015. He also played for Cagliari and Roma, and earned 14 caps for the Italian national team.

Due to the death, all matches of the Italian football championship that were supposed to be played on Sunday have been postponed. Seven matches of the 27th round of Serie A were scheduled for Sunday.
