The round table “Innovation vs Administration” gathered experts from the fields of science and education, associations, and the public and private sectors on Friday at the Technology Park of the Zagreb Development Agency to discuss promoting innovations and retaining innovators in Croatia.
The Director of the Development Agency, Frane Šesnić, stated to reporters that they gathered experts to hear their thoughts on how to make Croatia more competitive and motivate people to develop their ideas and products in Croatia.

“We know that the trends and indicators of the direction in which Croatia is heading are very poor, and we want to find ways to turn that around,” said Šesnić, adding that they have therefore engaged in seeking solutions.
The Development Agency and the City of Zagreb, through the Technology Park, gather those interested in creating additional value and employment, and most of them export their products. These are, added Šesnić, good examples and indicators of why they are seeking funding models, especially in the early stages of product development.

The round table hosted experts, from entrepreneurs to members of society who are doing responsible things, such as the initiator of the STEM revolution in Croatian education, Nenad Bakić, or Boris Jokić, the author of the curricular reform.
