VIDEO: Ed Sheeran the best-selling musician in 2017.

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is the best-selling musician of 2017, thanks to the album “Divide” and the singles “Shape of You” and “Perfect”.

The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) announced that “Divide,” released in March last year, was multi-platinum in 36 countries.

The pop ballad “Shape of You” was the global best-selling single last year with multi-platinum sales in 32 countries.

IFPI stated that this is the first time that the same artist has both the best-selling album and single in the same year.

The album “Divide” was also the best-selling in Croatia, for which Sheeran received recognition from the Croatian Recording Industry Association in December after a concert in Austria.
