The American group The Walt Disney Company announced on Tuesday a “multi-year development plan worth 2 billion euros for Disneyland Paris,” located near the French capital, which opened in 1992.
– This new expansion plan includes the renovation of the Walt Disney Studios park with three new themed areas dedicated to Marvel, Frozen, and Star Wars, as well as more new attractions and shows, the company adds in a statement released after a meeting between its CEO Bob Iger and French President Emmanuel Macron.

This multi-year development plan will be implemented gradually starting in 2021 and will significantly expand the Walt Disney Studios park.
The project includes the construction of a new lake where new shows will be held and will connect three new themed areas of the park with the most popular Disney stories and characters.

– With over 320 million visits since 1992, accounting for 6.2 percent of tourism revenue in France, Disneyland Paris is a driver of tourism in that region, emphasizes the American company.
Disneyland Paris, the largest private tourist destination in Europe, has two theme parks, seven hotels with 5,800 rooms, two conference centers, and a golf course.
