Coalition Partners: A Multi-Member Management Board for Agrokor Will Be Appointed in the Coming Days

The President of the Croatian Parliament, Gordan Jandroković, stated on Monday, after a meeting of coalition partners with Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, that everything is going according to plan with the appointment of a new commissioner for Agrokor, and his name will be known very soon.

– Everything is going according to plan, and you will know everything very soon, Jandroković told reporters in front of the Banski Dvori and confirmed that this should happen by the middle of the week.

The President of HNS, Ivan Vrdoljak, emphasized that the common goal is for the commissioner to complete the job in accordance with today’s legal deadlines and for the settlement to be as favorable as possible for the Croatian economy, employment, and Croatian industry.

However, he also did not say anything about who could be the new commissioner.

Previously, upon exiting the Banski Dvori, some coalition partners stated that they were told that a multi-member management board would be appointed for Agrokor, which should happen in the coming days.

The President of HSLS, Darinko Kosor, is confident that the situation with Agrokor will be resolved by the middle of the week.

– We will have a new management board with more members. Today at 3 PM, representatives of all creditors are coming to support the Government regarding the appointment of the commissioner and the continuation of the process. We are all working together to ensure that everything is completed by July 10, Kosor said.

– If a settlement is reached by July 10, then this parliamentary majority and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković have succeeded in pulling Agrokor out of trouble without a single kuna of taxpayer money, and we all know that the debts are 60 billion kuna. If we achieve this without a single kuna of taxpayer money, then we have succeeded, and we will know that by July 10, Kosor said.

Branko Hrg (Croatian Christian Democratic Party) stated that no specific names for Agrokor were discussed, but it is expected that the Prime Minister will announce the names of several members in 2-3 days, while Radimir Čačić (Reformists) said that there are several quality candidates and that a solution will be found in the shortest possible time.

A meeting between Prime Minister Plenković and representatives of Agrokor’s creditors is scheduled for 3 PM, during which the new commissioner for Agrokor will also be discussed.
