Vjekoslav Majetić’s Mining Bulldozer Sweeps Innovative Competition in Kuala Lumpur

Croatian innovators and entrepreneurs achieved significant success at the international exhibition of innovations and new technologies – MTE 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, winning 11 awards for seven innovations and new products, with the best Croatian exhibitor being Vjekoslav Majetić (DOK-ING), who received the grand prize and a gold medal, announced the Zagreb Innovators Association on Saturday.

Croatian exhibitors won 11 awards, including the grand prize and two golds, while the Croatian exhibition space was rated as the second best, prompting the exhibition organizers to present a special recognition to the Croatian Chamber of Economy and the Zagreb Innovators Association.

The best Croatian exhibitor was Vjekoslav Majetić (DOK-ING) with the innovation ‘Mining Bulldozer – MVD-XLPD’ for which he won the grand prize and a gold medal. A gold medal was also awarded to Sanja Lončarek for the innovation ‘LELS – wooden clogs with a variable upper’.

Silver medals were awarded to Mirjana Brlečić (Nature Heals) for the innovation ‘HYALURON+VITAMINS intensive revitalizing line’ and Zvonimir Viduki (Altpro) for ‘Automatic Train Stopping System AP AUTOSTOP’, which also received a special award from the Iranian delegation.

Bronze medals were won by Melita Pavlek-Moćan and Mira Moćan (Cosmel) for the innovation ‘OMEGA 6 CREAM – HYDRO for dry and dehydrated skin’ and Pavao Potočki for ‘MINI ELECTRONIC BOX’.

Marian Ciprian Mitrić from the Zagreb I. Technical School Tesla was awarded a special diploma and a prize from the Iranian delegation for the innovation ‘Voice Thermometer’.

Numerous contacts established for the commercialization of Croatian products

MTE this year gathered around 600 innovations from Malaysia and 17 countries in Southeast Asia and Europe, during which numerous contacts were made for the commercialization of Croatian innovations in the Malaysian market.

As part of the XV. Innovation Mission of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, direct B2B meetings were organized between Croatian innovators and Asian entrepreneurs aimed at the commercialization of Croatian innovations and promoting business cooperation between Croatia, Malaysia, and generally Southeast Asian countries.

Discussions were held at the Croatian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur with a Bangladeshi state delegation interested in the commercialization of DOK-ING and Nature Heals products.

The participation of Croatian exhibitors was organized by the Croatian Innovators Association, the Zagreb Innovators Association, and the Croatian Chamber of Economy. They agreed on special promotion for the 10th Croatian participation in this exhibition in 2019, which will for the first time in its 18-year history have a partner country, Croatia.

The Croatian delegation presented the 43rd Croatian Innovation Salon ‘INOVA – BE A ROLE MODEL 2018’, which will be held in November in Zagreb, and according to the promises of the heads of national delegations, this Croatian innovation exhibition could attract numerous innovators from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Iran, and Taiwan.
