Čikat Camp, operated by the Lošinj company Jadranka Camps, was awarded the prestigious Deutcher Camping Club (DCC) Europapreis 2018 at the Reise & Camping fair in Essen, Germany, an award given since 1996 by the largest German association promoting camping tourism.
The award was ceremoniously presented by the president of the German automobile club ADAC, Stefan Thurn, the president of the International Camping Federation (FICC), Alvaro Joao Pereira, and the mayor of Essen, Thomas Kufen. Alongside Čikat Camp, five other camps from Germany, Austria, and Spain received the award. So far, a total of six camps from Croatia have received this award.

In addition to the luxurious offerings of the camp, which are complemented by new superior plots and elegant mobile homes, as well as a comprehensive entertainment program, Čikat Camp was also recognized for its quality management, openness to innovations, and timely recognition of guest desires, as stated in the award justification from DCC.
The director of Jadranka Camps, Dean Jakovljević, stated that the award confirmed that the company, with a 70-year history, is moving in the right direction.
Čikat Camp is part of Jadranka Camps within the Jadranka Group, which operates on the islands of Lošinj and Cres. The camp spans approximately 30 hectares in the eponymous bay surrounded by dense pine forest and holds the title of “friend of children.” Alongside Čikat Camp, Jadranka Camps and Camp Slatina manage three other camps – Bijar, Baldarin, and Slatina, with a total capacity of 9,300 guests.
